RICH; Cyril John ~ Died peacefully at his home in Cavan on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 with his family around him in his 84th year. Cyril Rich was the beloved husband of Ann Rich (nee Nicholson). Devoted father of Kathy Chatten (Jeff), Gwen Rich (Don Verge), and Andrew Rich (Jackie MacDonald). Proud grandfather of Lindsay Chatten (Derrick Abbott), Taylor Verge (Louis Morris), Jessica Chatten, Brittany Rich (Chris Formosa), Alex Rich, Adam Rich and great grandfather of Abigail Abell and Jace Abbott. Predeceased by his parents Len and Lena Rich of Whitby, ON. Cy was for many years in the 1950’s and 60’s both a Cub Master and Scout Master of the 1st Whitby Boy Scouts of Canada. He will also be fondly remembered by his many friends from the Airstream Club, Bell Canada, Kawartha Woodturners, Hope Agricultural Heritage Club, Millbrook Community Choir, Peterborough Miata Club and his best friend – his dog Buddy.
Service Information
A Celebration of Life will be held at Baxter Creek Golf Club, 1702 Cedar Valley Rd., Fraserville, on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:30 pm. In memory of Cy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Fallis & Shields Funeral Home, Millbrook.
