David Keith Powell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Keith Powell beloved son of Ray and Eileen Powell (predeceased) on August 30, 2022 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre surrounded by his family.  
Beloved husband of Lynn (Pritchard) for 47 years. Cherished and devoted father to Amanda (Jamie) Dears, Andrew (Trisha) and JJ (Josie). Grandfather to Tianna, Riley, Taylor, Makayla (Noah), Riley, Jack David, Jaida, Corbin and Zoey. 
Great-Grandfather to Jesse, Violet, Scarlette and Blake. Brother to Donny (Darlene), Steven (Deb), Fern (Don) Armstrong and predeceased by his brother, Robert. Uncle to Doug (Shelley) and Jeff (Angela). Brother in Law to Lee (David) Cook and David (Roberta) Pritchard. He will be dearly missed by his close friends Greg and Karen Crough and many nieces, nephews, friends, neighbours and family. 
David was a mechanic for several years, as well as a volunteer firefighter for 35 years. He was heavily involved in his community and a proud Legion member. 
A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself and grief is the price we pay for love.
A memorial service will take place for David at 2:00 p.m. on September 11th, 2022 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 402 in Millbrook. Reception to follow.
