Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Tuesday September 12th, 2023 in her 76th year. Born in Millbrook to the late Charles and Irene Dew. Beloved sister of Glenda Shortt (late Dean), Marilyn Herron (Fred) and Douglas Dew. Predeceased by her sister Joan Holloway and brother Allan Dew. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff in the ICU and Palliative Care departments at PRHC, for all their care and compassion during Dianes' last moments. A huge thank you to the staff on the dialysis unit at Northumberland Hills Hospital. Through your dedication and support, we as her family were able to have five more wonderful years with her. Heartfelt thanks to everyone at Cobourg Extendicare for all of your love, care and kindness shown to Diane during the seven years she was with you. You brought her joy, happiness and laughter and we will be forever grateful for that. Sincerest thanks to Janet Warden for being such a special friend and support to Diane for so many years. We, along with Diane, were so blessed to have you there. As per Dianes' wishes, cremation has taken place, and she will be laid to rest with her parents at Union Cemetery in Port Hope. She did not wish to have a service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the  Dialysis unit at NHH or a charity of your choice.
