DUSENBURY; Douglas “Chappie” Samuel ~ Proudly served in the Canadian Military ~ Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8th at Centennial Place, Millbrook at the age of 82. Beloved husband for over 60 years to Yvette Dusenbury (née Gayet). Loving father of Yvonne Henderson (Larry Tackaberry), Robert Dusenbury (Christine), Jacqueline Dusenbury (Teresa) and predeceased by Gordon Dusenbury. Proud poppa of Amy, Stacey, Kyle; Rebecca, Sam; Ben and Mackenzie. Great-poppa of Carissa, Colby, Taylor, Keegan and Myka. Brother of Rosemary Lyle (Elwood), predeceased by Roy, Betty, Bill, Gladys, Hazel and Gordon. Brother-in-law of Bernice, Terry, Evelyn, Simone, predeceased by Louise, Jeanette, Bob and Irene. Douglas will also be missed by many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A special Thank You to the PSW’s, Nurse’s and staff of Centennial Place for your wonderful care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place. Please join us for a 'Celebration of Life' gathering for Doug Dusenbury at the Cobourg Legion, 136 Orr St, Cobourg, on Tuesday, November 7th from 1-3pm.
