It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Vernon Haines, 46, of Oshawa, announce his sudden passing on May 31st, 2026.
Ed was born on June 13th, 1979, in Scarborough, ON to Ken Haines and Suzanne McLean. Edward loved his Leafs and was an avid golfer. He loved playing poker and playing with his dog Bella and was employed by Echelon Supply and Service.
Ed was known for having the kindest heart and was loved by his many friends, colleagues and all who knew him.
Ed is survived by his siblings: Annette Hunter (Rob) Ria Kelly, Sue Haines, Leslie Quackenbush (Jeff), Jennifer Haines, Amanda Scott, Karen Scott, Kelli Scott, Nicholas Haines (April), stepmom Diane Haines, aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his father Ken Haines, mom Suzanne McLean and brother Kenny Haines.
A celebration of life will be held at the Omemee Legion between 1 pm and 5 pm on June 13th, 2026. Located at 46 King St East, Omemee, ON K0L 2W0.
All who knew Ed are welcome to join us as we gather to remember, share stories and honour his life and the impact he had on those around him. If you cannot attend in person, please add comments below. As Ed would say "Much love, big hugzz"
