Edward "Ted" Whelbourn

Edward (Ted) Whelbourn passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on December 23, 2018 at 90 years of age.  Ted was born in Grimsby, England on December 2, 1928 and immigrated to Canada in 1953.  Ted was the beloved husband of Vera for nearly 60 years. Proud father to Bill (Sharon) and Sue.  Loving Grampa to Bill (Mercedes), Jeff (Breanne), Phil (Meshell), Jordan (Amber), Valerie (Stew) and Jeremy (Arielle).  Great Grampa to Sebastien, Quinn, Caleb and Layla.  Predeceased by his parents William and Nora.  Dear brother to Ann (John) and the late Peter (Irene).  Ted will also be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.  Special thanks to the PSW’s and Nurses at Nightingale and St Elizabeth’s and Dr. Gibson for the wonderful care they provided to Ted.

Service Information

Cremation has taken place and as per Ted's wishes there will be no visitation or service. A private family interment will be held in the spring.
