Ellen Carol Hills
June 23, 1941 – June 24, 2017
It is with profound sadness that we advise of the sudden passing of Carol Hills. Beloved wife of Jack for 57 years; cherished mother of Julie (Kirk), Derek (Tammy) and Paul (Karen); adored Nana of Cory, Riley, Kiersten, Alexander, Kaley, Matthew, Caleb and Colton; loved companion of Dazz. Nana, as she was affectionately known to all, took pride in many things, but most importantly in her family. She loved family get-togethers, her wildflower garden, watching little and big league sports and family gathered around the kitchen table. She cherished the little things like a card in the mail, a phone call or a cup of tea with friends. Known County wide for her jams and jellies, she will be missed by her extended family in Cavan, long-time friends in England and countless others around Scarborough and Kawartha Lakes. Former employee of Measuregraph Canada, McDougall & Brown (Scarborough Chapel) and Aunt Laura’s Tea Room; Nana had a way of making everyone feel at ease. From a kind word to a simple gesture, she was the most kind, genuine, selfless soul and will be missed beyond words.
