WHITE, Ellen Katherine (nee Tierney)

Peacefully at Ed’s House Hospice in Cobourg on Friday, January 21st, 2022 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Bruce White. Loving mother of her late children David White (Marni White), Mary Lynne McFarlane (Graham McFarlane) and John White (Kathie White). Proud grandmother of Angela Lowther (Mark Lowther), Carolyn Dubeau, Matthew White, Krystal Ferguson (Daniel Ferguson), Shawndra Bath (Michael Bath) and Patrick White (Stefanie Lauppe). Dearly missed by her great-grandchildren Theo and David Dubeau; Nolan and Ailigh Ferguson; and Brody, Ainsley and Crosby Bath. Predeceased by her sister Aileen Marcon.  Ellen and Bruce were proud member of the Canadian Snow Bird Association where Ellen served as President and board member for many years. A dedicated educator and professor Ellen had a long career in education working all of Ontario. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 4th, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 65 Amelia St., Barrie, ON. Attendance will be limited to 50% and masks will be mandatory.  In memory of Ellen, donations can be made to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice.
