SIDDALL, George “Howard” Leroy
It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Howard Siddall at the Belleville General Hospital on Saturday July 12, 2025 with his loving partner Robin Brooks and niece Jeanette Ford by his side.
Son of the late George and Betty Siddall. Predeceased by his wife Jane Sharp. Howard was the oldest brother to the late Bob, 2001 (Ruth), John (Cairen) and the late Geoff, 2022 (Janice). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Howard was also predeceased by his nephew Michael, 2022.
A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, Howard was a founding member and Executive Director of the Durham Harley Owners Group. He led many road trips and experienced all types of adventures on two wheels with his love Jane right behind him, always in search of the ultimate Butter Tart. Many charitable rides raised funds for deserving organizations under his direction. His community service also included being an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 187 for many years, fulfilling roles such as Sports Chair and Poppy Chair. Howard’s lifelong passion was playing pool and could still make fantastic shots just a few short months ago.
In accordance with Howard’s wishes, cremation has taken place. One final Harley ride leading to the Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 187, 92 King Street East, Colborne, ON K0K 1S0 followed by reception and fellowship. Doors open at 1:30 pm, service at 2:00 pm. Cash or Cheque Donations in memory of Howard to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family. The family will hold an internment in Carlisle, ON at a later date.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate doctors, nurses, and support staff at Belleville General Hospital and Crown Ridge Long Term Care home for their care during Howard’s journey.
