KONZELMANN, Irene (nee Stiebing)

It is with great sadness that the family of Irene Konzelmann, born September 22nd 1936 in Berlin, Germany announces her passing on March 17th 2025 at age 88 years.  She was the beloved wife of the late Ernst Konzelmann (September 9th 2024), and the much-loved mother of Monika Sud and Mark Konzelmann (Teresa).

Irene was the proud Omi (grandmother) of Ramesh Sud (Elena), Emmi Sud (Terry), Raman Sud (Lisa), Hannah McAlees (Jonathan), Ben Konzelmann and Adam Konzelmann.

Also left to mourn her passing are extended family and friends in Canada, Germany and France.

The family would like to thank the members of the ROC Clarington Swim Club for their swift response and efforts at the pool when Irene passed away. We take comfort in knowing that Irene passed away doing what she loved most, and surrounded by her friends.

In accordance with Irene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
