James Alfred Sawdon

SAWDON;  James Alfred ~ Peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Lakeridge Health Centre, Oshawa at the age of 88.  Jim Sawdon, was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Sawdon (nee Simpson).  Loving father of Kenneth (Germaine), Janice Ball (Ross), Judith Cobierski (Michael), Heather Shore (Robert), Isabella Smelser (Kenneth) and the late Russell (survived by Mary).  Loved grandfather of 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.  Jim will be lovingly remembered by Monica Chenell, her children Dianna and David and their families.  Predeceased by his brother John and his sister Isabella Kutashiski.

Service Information

A graveside service and interment of cremated remains will be held on Saturday, May 25th at the St. John's Ida Church Cemetery, 1758 County Rd. 10, Cavan, ON at 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, June 8th at the R.C. Legion Br. 637, 1251 Simcoe St. N. - Unit #9 (behind the Tim Horton's) from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. In memory of Jim, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
