Peacefully with family by his side at Golden Plough lodge in his 90th year . Ken was the only child of Norm and Ola Dolley. He grew up and lived on the family farms his whole life . He was a kind, quiet, gentle man who enjoyed his family , farming and a good ball game . To know him was to love him . He loved picking corn and selling it. Started generations before him he continued that tradition until he was no longer able. Many years were spent at Peterborough market where he was a popular vendor selling corn and eggs. Ken was well respected and loved in his community for his “bakers dozens” and farm fresh eggs personally selected by him. He always had time to chat with customers. He had the gift of patience. Known to be quite a ball player himself, he passed on his love for baseball to his kids and grandchildren, although He would venture to any sport to watch them .He was an avid Blue Jay’s fan. He leaves behind his wife Eleanor (Harren), sons Randy ,Brian and daughter Tracy Bagshaw (Drew). Loved by his grandchildren Brittany (Nick), Adam (Nicole), Cody (Nikki), Josh (Jess), Hunter (Erica), Dylan, Drew (Sam)and Trey as well as 6 great grandchildren .
Kens recent years spent between hospital and the golden plough were not what he had wanted but as was his demeanor he never complained . He had the opportunity to meet and be cared for by many exceptional health care professionals . A huge thank you to NHH ER,2A, Restorative staff and to the staff at Golden Plough, McMillan Garden who cared for him so deeply. Thank you to Dr Xi who provided Ken with exceptional care for many years .
