Ludger "Luke" Douwe Rienstra

Luke (Ludger) Douwe Rienstra died peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the Streamway Villa in Cobourg, at age 84. Beloved husband of Carolyn Rienstra for over 60 years and treasured father of Charlene (Ben, Danielle, Dustin), David (Heidi, Emily), Mark (Christina, David), Kim (Joshua, Jennifer), Daniel (Valerie), Ruth (Jasmine, Richard, Rachel), Paul and Anne.

Ludger (Luke) Douwe Rienstra was predeceased by his parents, Rients and Tryntsje Rienstra, and siblings Johannes, Hendrik, Anne, Wietske, Tina, Abeta, and Ate. Luke will be remembered fondly by his brothers and sisters, Pieter, Fenna, Herold, Idske, and Michael.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1 p.m. at the Christian Reformed Grace Church, 440 King St. East Cobourg (905-372-3642), followed by lunch and refreshments.
