SWAN, Marie Evonne (née Deschamps)
With strength and determination, our beloved mother, Marie Evonne Swan, passed away on April 14th, having fought bravely until the very end. She was the cherished mother of Charlene Patton (Mike) and Michelle Parkins (Richard), and a devoted grandmother to Randy (Katie), Joey, Jeff (Jess), and Alisha. Marie was also a proud great-grandmother to four adored great-grandchildren, Kali, Gage, Gianna and Arthur. She is survived by her loving sister, Rosaleen (Chuck), sister-in-law Vicky, and was predeceased by her brothers Phil, Pete, John, George, and Tom. Marie will be fondly remembered by many extended family members and friends. For many years, Marie ran her own business as a hairdresser, and after retiring, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to volunteering at the community food bank for nearly two decades. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her unwavering commitment to helping others, and her wonderful sense of humour. Marie touched many lives and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday May 2nd, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 402, 9 King St E, Millbrook. In memory of Marie, donations can be made to Millbrook and District Food Share or Springdale Residence Council. Online condolences can be expressed at www.millvalleyfuneral.com
