Passed away peacefully at his home in Warkworth Saturday February 10th, 2024 with his spouse Debra Clements and his daughter Susan Mikus by his side after a long, courageous battle of 2 years & 4 months with cancer. Predeceased by his parents Mark Mikus & Arlene McEwen as well as brother Joseph Mikus. Survived by his sister Rosemary Bateman (the Late Robert Bateman) and nephew Luke Bateman. Beloved nephew of Frank & Sharon Waghorn. Missed by cousins Lori & Garry Shortt. Predeceased by his wife Anne Elizabeth Mikus (nee Hilliard). Long life partner of Debra Clements for 20 years. Loving father of Susan Mikus (Patrick), dearly loved grandad of Michael Mikus and Kylee Quinlin.
At Shane’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Donations in memory of Shane can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Cobourg Cancer Clinic at Northumberland Hills Hospital.
