WILSON, Mary Alice
Mary passed peacefully at Centennial Place Long Term Care in Millbrook on March 18th after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Mary spent her working years at St Joseph’s Hospital Peterborough, ON, eventually becoming Payroll Administrator. She enjoyed Blue Jays baseball games, gardening (at which she excelled) and feeding “her birds” first thing each morning. Most of all she was a cat whisperer. Mary was predeceased by her parents Robert and Mary Loretto (Commerford), by her brother James, her sister Margaret Galvin, and her nephews William and Gerald Galvin. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Jim Wilson, Kathy Wilson, Paul Wilson (Cheryl Bassett), Steve Wilson (Gail), Lorraine Murat (Larry), and Elizabeth Wilson. Mary is also survived by great nieces Victoria, Angela, Nicole, great nephew David, great, great niece Norah and great, great nephew Logan. Many thanks to Centennial Place LTC Home staff for years of excellent and compassionate care of Mary. Special thanks to Sarah Carson, private caregiver, who provided years of excellent care and devoted friendship to Mary. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 1045 Portage Rd, Kirkfield, ON, on Tuesday April 15th at 11:00 am. Interment St. John’s Catholic Cemetery Kirkfiled.
