STAPLES, Maureen Belva
Maureen Belva Staples, daughter of Ralph and Belva Staples passed away October 30th, 2021 at her residence at Riverview Manor in Peterborough. Maureen was a long-time resident of Peterborough. Her early years were spent in Cavan at the Staples family farm which she often recalled with great pleasure. This period of her life gave her great affection for animals, dogs being very high on that list. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a strong advocate for people with disabilities and an ability to speak her mind when she found it necessary. The family’s thanks go out to Peterborough and District Association for Community Living (P.D.A.C.L) who provided much care, assistance and counsel throughout the Peterborough years and to the staff of Riverview Manor for their exceptional care. Special thanks to Penny Carson who undertook to assist Maureen with day to day living during much of her life in Peterborough. Maureen is survived by brothers Peter and his wife Anna, Barry and his wife Barbara, and their families. Cremation will take place followed by a private interment service.
