Mervyn John Hanchar

Mervyn John Hanchar passed away peacefully at the age of 70, at the Ross Memorial Hospital, on Saturday March 26th, 2022. Merv lost his short battle with Terminal Throat Cancer.

 
Merv leaves behind two very strong and important women in his life. His wonderful wife of 51 years, Lorna and his devoted daughter, Charlene.

Merv will always be remembered for his enjoyment on the airways as an Amateur Radio Operator. He will now be known as a Silent Key, VE3MRV. Merv will also be remembered as the gate keeper to the former, Mosport Speedway. His boldness, humour, and smile will never be forgotten.  

Merv has been cremated and a private celebration of life will be held with family and close friends. 

You are at peace now, Dad. I know, that you know, that I got this. You know that mum and I will make it through as we hold every memory with us as we go. Rest easy and in paradise Dad. Until I see you again.
