Raili Tuulikki Tuominen

TUOMINEN;  RAILI ~ age 74, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 6, 2019 in Bailieboro at her home on Rice Lake, Ontario, following a year-long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Pauli, her 2 children Juha (Helen) and Jaana and her 2 beloved grandchildren Jacob and Eveliina. Raili is remembered by many close friends and relatives across Canada and Finland. Born in Tyrvaa, Finland, Raili immigrated to Canada in 1965 to marry the love of her life Pauli. Raili had a passion for taking care of others and cared for many people, both young and old, throughout her life. A talented and creative seamstress, Raili could be found on Saturday mornings operating a successful business at the Peterborough Farmers Market, designing and selling her dog coats and handmade items for over 10 years. She will be dearly missed by all.

Service Information

A private service was held for the family on May 7th and a Celebration of Life will be held later at her favourite place on Rice Lake. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society to help fight Cancer and one day beat this disease would be appreciated by the family.
