Loving father of Lisa (John Lindsay), Lorie (Vince Vecchiola), and Ken (Lori) and 7 grandchildren: Katie, Emily and Jack Lindsay; Taylor and Brooke Igel; and Delaney and Clarke Keenan and the new apple of his eye his great grandaughter, Hailey Born. Survived by his sister, Kathleen (Wilson) and his brother, Wesley. Predeceased by brothers Arthur and Jack.

Ross left home at a young age and became a CNR Telegraph operator in Northern Ontario and had fond memories of the north and its people. Ross served as a proud member of the Oshawa Fire Service for 35 years.

He was a life member of Temple Masonic Lodge # 649 Oshawa for over 60 years and a 32° Scottish Rite Mason.
