Santi (Sam) Charles Amodeo

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sam Amodeo in his 84th year this past
Wednesday at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Sam was the last of 10 siblings to pass on to
heaven. His wife Margaret and son George predeceased him. He was a beloved father and
will be dearly missed by his 5 sons, Sam (Kim), Kevin (Emily), Michael (Andrea), Paul
(Tammie), and Joey (Pietro). He was a loving grandfather to Eric, Colin, Julia, Megan, Luke,
Anthony, Tanner, Alyssa, and Bethany. He will be fondly remembered by his extended
family and family friend Bryan. Sam was an amazing man. He was kind and caring to
everyone he met. Sam was dedicated to family and was a devout man of faith. He loved to
paint and build model cars. He was well-known for capturing memories by video. He
cherished every moment and loved life!
Service Information
Funeral Mass at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church at 10:30am on Saturday, January 14th
with reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 at 471 Simcoe St. S. in
Oshawa. Memorial donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society or the charity of
your choice.
